...made drilling in ANWAR? his pals in the oil biz hope Americans will buckle and drill in ANWAR thus extending the window of raping consumers for high gas prices. even if ANWAR had enough oil to reduce our dependence on the middle east, in twenty or fifty years we'll be right back to where we are today........limited supplies, too much demand, and that means trillions of $$$ for a handful of oil companies. their worst nightmare is the US finding a long term alternative that takes money out of their pockets.

drill in ANWAR and you're tipping the hourglass upside down......nothing more.

I don't understand why people hate Bush so much that no matter what he does it is the wrong move. I am personaly getting a little tired of it. What is your solution and how would you pay for it? What is the solution put fourth from those opposing Big Oil and how would they pay for it? Truth be told he is trying and he is making suggestions. We are making strides with alternative forms of energy that are being fought tooth and nail by the likes of the Kennedy Family (wait a second) and anyone who has any different opinion then that of Al Gore is laughed off and made out to be an ill-informed person. ANWR (not ANWAR) is an oppertunity for us to stay functional as a nation long enough to really get off of the Oil bug, 20 to 50 years is a good amount of time to develope something, test it, and implement it. While you may hate the fact people are getting rich off the profits being made by the oil industry it is the nature of the beast, we are a capitalist society and because of that we will get past oil. The President, Congress, and the Courts do not have as much power as we the people. I say let them drill in ANWR and work on the projects they are working on (as well as many other industries) and when a viable alternative comes about I can promise you that the will of the people will force a change over. Until then quit trying to make everything Bush does bad for America, because to be honest it isn't you may not agree with it all but we are still functioning and getting by even during a multitude of crisis that would cripple and destroy other nations.

Oh and to make sure there isn't any confusion about the answer I am giving it is no, Bush is complaining about it because it is an issue that the people worry about.
