Is easter more about an excuse for having a public holiday than about Jesus Christ?

Do some Catholics have reservations about sharing Eostre who is the goddess of rebirth with the resurrection with a non biblical anniversary of Jesus Christ. I mean by the Jewish lunar calendar which Christ was to die on the Passover then Jesus Christ resurrection anniversary would be exactly on Saturday 11th April 2009 because the anniversary of his death would of been on Thursday the 9th April 2009 which is Nisan 14 the date of the Jewish Passover when Christ gave up his earthly life.
