Is Fashion Institute of Technology hard to get into?

i want to go to FIT and i want to major in communications and advertising. i dont need a portfolio but im wondering from personal experiences if it is hard to get into. plz dont direct me to the FIT admissions page bc ive already seen it a million times. personal experience, ideas, and stories about that school are good.
