(2:223) Your wives are your tilth : so you may go to your tilth as you please, *241 but you should take care of your future *242 and refrain from the displeasure of Allah. Know it well that One Day you shall meet Him. (O Prophet !) bear good tidings to the Believers.

*241. That is, God's purpose in the creation of women is not merely to provide men with recreation. Their mutual relationship is like that between a farmer and his tilth. A farmer approaches his field not just for the sake of pleasure, but to acquire produce. Similarly, man ought to approach the tilth of the human race with the purpose of acquiring produce, that is, offspring. What is of concern to the Law of God is not the particular mode of cultivating one's tilth, but rather that one should go only to one's tilth and not elsewhere, and that one should go there for the purpose of cultivation

you may say as u like 'it dosent make sense' or whatsoever;ear in mind you are not rediculing me but Allah the owner of the universe.
same has been happening to pagan arabs.

It`s a strange way of putting, but I suppose he is right.

Man is the seed sower, and the woman is the tilth whose purpose it is to produce well - produce - ie, offspring.

Never thought of woman as `tilth` before, merely there to be plowed, but it is another angle.
 
here is what the prophet of islam said about rib people! bukhari vol.7 book 62 # 132 the prophet said,'' none of you should flog his wife as he flogs a slave and then have sexual intercourse with her in the last part of the day.;
 
Salam.. No God(Allah swt) 's purpose in the creation of women not merely to provide men with recreation because women also could regard men as for their recreation same vice versa.But we could not interprete the purpose of God just by reading and understanding certain verses We should read and understand the contents of Qur'an as a whole.In 2:223 Allah has presented a wife as a field which should be planted by husband in good manner.In 2:241 God says that the divorced wife should be given a gift or mut'ah by ex husband properly as an obligation for taqwa man I agree with you that a man should regard his wife not just merely for pleasure by also for generating the next generation whose quality better than them.God wants husband and wife respect,love and help each other in developing the happy family.Allah has given man and woman the same rights and obligations but they have different function.
 
God is a fictional character. This voids anything he is ever supposed to have said, done, or commanded.
