Is he interested or is he trying to build friendship ?

I met this guy at a cafe some time back with his friends. One of his friend came up to ask my number. So he has been messaging me over my phone from the break of day till when he sleeps for about a month now. He calls me out for drinks, a movie once, etc... (which i rejected) i thought that were signs a guy likes u ?? but then, he tells me there's no such thing as true love . That he don't even like talking about love n even if it existed, he isn't gonna be one of those lucky people to find it . He also told me he had a bad relationship before, that it did not last long and is history now. But claims he never felt anything like that since.
I am kinda confused here .....Any idea ?

Well, I mean, you've rejected him. His diatribe about an absence of love is his subtle way of saying, "Hey. I really like you, and I thought you felt the same way, but I give up."


For as attuned to others' emotions as women claim to be, many miss some pretty bold signs.

sounds like he does like you, he's just had an extremely bad relationship. Trust me, I have the same views as him a lot! tell him how you feel!

How well do you know him? How well do you trust him? Do you have feeling for him? Those are signs that he likes you more than a friend because as you said that he been messaging you all this time.

it sounds like he really wants to move forward and build something with you but he is scared due to his past relationship , somebody has scared him and damaged his thoughts on love and relationships.its sounds like he needs reassurrance

he is keeping his guard up to protect himself but just be patient and give it time....if its meant to be then it will happen but dont push the situation because you will only push him away!!
