Is he no longer interested in me?

About a month ago a neighbor that I hang out with here and there confessed his feelings for me and said he would like to hang out more. I didn't respond negatively, but I have to admit it was a little awkward as I only thought of him as a friend although I do find him attractive... So he invites me out a couple of times, but the problem whenever he does invite me out (randomly), I either had work or something else going on. I even tried inviting him out, but he was busy as well. Long story short we haven't had time to hang out lately... so we stopped talking. Haven't talked or since him in about two weeks until tonight where we had a very small chat, it wasn't awkward. I'm just wondering if maybe he's lost interest in me, even if it means just being friends. He just seems like a neighbor now. I am 23 and he's like 26 if it matters.

Sweetheart, I think he still likes you "that way" it's difficult sometimes for guys to just "turn it off". Just you have had conflicting schedules. How about schedule a date for a fun outing? That way you both have something to look forward too and it won't be so awkward because he will know you at least like him and it will break the tension.

Added note: Really 2 weeks in the whole scheme of things is just a drop in the bucket.
