Tort reform studies have been done, and proved it Texas to not improve health care, nor do anything to benefit patients, in fact, their health care in Texas is a mess. What happens is when Tort Reform was adopted in Texas, with a maximum of $250,000.00 medical malpractice awards, tons of doctors who have been sued, lost, and had high medical malpractice insurance premiums because of their poor records flooded into Texas leaving the state with marginal physicians, increasing poor patient care. Good doctors don't wnat them, either.</blockquote>
