More than a month ago, the neighbors built an enclosure (approximately 4 feet x 12 feet) at the side of their house. It's been built out of chain-link fence. The side of the house and a tarp on top of the enclosure provide shade for the dog. The dog whines and barks every morning when its owners leave for work, after it's been placed inside the enclosure. This whining and barking usually lasts 20 minutes.
Today, the dog has been whining and barking for more than two hours. Is this normal behavior?
I don't know what type of dog it is. I haven't seen it clearly. It does seem to be medium or larger sized.
