Is it easy to have a relationship with someone who debates?

This guy and I just started talking and I made the mistake of saying something to him that I didn't think was a big deal and he chewed me out for it. He sent me 3 texts in a row just basically saying he's better than me and that I need to learn from him and that's he knows more. But I texted him back and made sure I made him feel stupid because he misunderstood me. Then I remembered how he used to be on the debate team in high school.
 
Don't worry, I'm better than him, for starters I'll only send one text at a time, I also make it into a nice easy to understand catch phrase: "I'm awesome"

I'd say no, not unless he actually looks like he has the willpower to back down and keep his mouth shut from time to time, that's the skill I'm working on heh...
 
You just started talking and this guy already exposes himself as superior due to his debating skills? You're already fighting! Run away and don't even look back. You deserve a lot more respect than that.
 
Fuck no its not easy! i am married to a guy JUST like that. now after seven years i am looking for a way out but with little hope. DON'T DO IT! TURN AND RUN THE OTHER WAY!! trust me girl its NOT worth it!
