Anyway, he is a certified teacher. I assume teachers in the US have to know their theory just like teachers in Canada have to know their musical theory too. Would it be easy or hard to learn theory online from my relative? And please don't tell me to get private lessons locally because I can't, as i'm already paying for piano lessons. Theory would cost me about the same as private piano lessons, so I have double expenses. I'm in grade 3 RCM piano (Haven't taken exams yet.The teacher says in her outline students usually start taking exams at grade 3 or 4.). I know you don't have to take theory until around grade 5, but i'm just thinking/wondering/preparing.</p></blockquote><p></p>
