Is it hard to get in the vents on the top of the dash by the windsheld its

in a 2006 ford excape ? i had a diamond necklace on the dash that slid in the the top vent by the windsheld like the defrost vent how haard is it to get down in there
 
Before you look at dismantling the dash try fishing it out with a stiff but flexible wire with a small hook on the end.- a thin guage coat hanger should do it.
