I need to know, I've been getting a bunch of different answers. I have a Honda CR-V so there is no seat in the back and five friends of mine and I are planning to going for a long trip. No one else has a car. I need to know whether it's legal or not & even if I get caught what will the consequence will be. (i want no sarcasm and ridiculous answers will be taken off)

the laws are different in every state. i was thinking it could be like riding in the back of a truck. i know in georgia your allowed to ride in the back of a truck as long as your over the age of 18. the consequences will probably just a seat belt ticket. i would say go for it just kinda hide with some blankets and stuff if you do get pulled over.
Good Luck!

It's not legal. If there are no seats or seatbelts, then it's not legal.
If you get caught, you'd probably have to pay a pretty expensive fine.
