continue to interrupt your hunt? I hunt in Northeast MS on my own property passed down to me by my grandfather and Ihave a constant problem with these assholes who intentionally run their dogs out of season. I would like to know if it is legal to shoot their dogs when they run them when it's not dog season?
This is during DEER season to clear things up for those of you who want to tell me there is no season for hunting dogs. No DUH. If you know nothing about hunting or are too ignorant to understand the question then please take your ignorance elsewhere. All I want to know is if it is legal to kiil these dogs when they're being used out of season. Thank you
Keep in mind that this is a small town in Mississippi. Everyone that lives here are like family, icluding the law enforcement. And also, it is pretty hard to chase thses dogs down who are trained to track deer. So even if I gave calling the law a shot, the dogs will be long gone by the time they arrived. I live 2 hours away from the land incase you're wondering if I tie into this small town family. The answer is no, I do not. And when my father questioned the locals who continue to be two faced if it was their dogs, he threatened to beat my dad up who is 62 years old. Needless to say he better keep his distance from me. We've been disrespected to no end from them throwing trash on our property constantly and they've been as low as sabotaging our stands so I am looking for any way within the law to get redemption. If not then I will do what i have to on my own.
Yes the land is posted and has cables set up, but everytime we leave to go home they can do whatever they please. We always find new four-wheeler tracks when return and like I said, the most recent time, someone had unscrewed bolts from several of our stands.. hint hint after the guy blew up on my dad (the same guy who tried to run our other family, who we allowed to hunt there, off our land by telling them that it was his land). So do not try calling me crazy or an animal hater. I love dogs and don't want to shoot them but enough is enough. I'm tired of the disrespect and I'm tired of constantly having deer run off right in front of me by someone else's dog, especially out of season.
