is it ok to put bleach in your horses water??

the reason i ask is because we board and the lady we board with has started putting bleach in ...im not sure how much or how much the tank holds in water ...but my mare does not like it ...and you can smell the bleach ..is that tooo much?? im thinking you shouldnt be able to smell it .. please help!!!!
i really dont want them sick from it and i think it should be our choice if we want bleach in the water...i think she is just being cheap and dont want me cleaning it out as often... i usually clean it out every third day as my mare wants to get in with her front feet and splash

Isn't bleach poisonous? maybe give your horse normal water so it doesn't get poisoned.........
