My grandma is basically on her deathbed (she has Parkinson's and she is 83 and has stopped eating.) They give her 2-4 weeks to live. One of her last wishes is to see my new baby girl Charlotte. She's staying with my Aunt and Uncle, and they live a 5 hour car ride away. She will be a little over a month old by then. I have called the pediatrician to ask them, but they haven't called back yet. She is due to have her vaccines the week after we get back. An experience with car traveling with an infant?

We have a 2007 Tahoe with lots of room, and we are planning on stopping halfway for a feeding (she breastfeeds and eats about every 3 hours.) We are staying at a clean hotel that we have stayed at before. I feel pretty confident it will go smoothly, but want some opinions. We will be leaving early Sunday morning and returning late Monday afternoon (quick trip)

Absolutly, more than likely your baby will sleep through the whole trip. I took my son on a 10 hour trip when he was 3 months old and he cried a little on the way there but on the trip back slept the whole time.

The sound the car makes is soothing for babies, the white noise is calming to them. Good luck on your trip I wouldn't worry about a thing!

I think everything will be fine. :) Make sure to take your time traveling so your little one can get out of the car seat and stretch and eat. :) Good luck!
