Is it possible to deactivate Directv without paying the cancellation fee?

Are there any exceptions which you could make up in order to get rid of Directv without paying the ridiculous cancellation fee?

well bobby is still correct even if you dont pay the bill they will charge you the months you had it before they came after the recever and the deactivation fee.than you will get a court summons 2 months later and have to go to court than have to pay --court costs+your bill you didnt pay+deactivation fee+thier lawyer bill
