Is it possible to find an external harddrive with more than just a tb of space?

cause all thats availabl here in Ireland is a max of 1 tb :(

also could you please tell me

how many of the following could you get on the 1tb harddrive ////

#high resolution Photos (8 megapixels for example)

#movies

#songs

thanks for your help people :)

also my uncle insists that 1tb is an astronomical amount of space and i should be satisfied with it ....... is he right?
