Ok, long story. Got Earache around Christmas. Dr couldn't see anything but wax so had to have them syringed- had to wait 2 weeks. Had left ear syringed (right ear was clear). Advised to take inflammatory painkillers for 2 weeks and go back if no better. I did and the Dr couldn't see anything so sent me for blood tests which showed an infection. Gave me penicillin for 1 week. I've been taking it for 5 days, feel better in myself but still got earache. A few years ago i had mystery ear pain, and my Dr at the time gave me a nasal spray as last resort which worked. So should I get a nasal spray this time just in case?
