My family and I got a little chihuahua last August. He is 3 years old and is having to learn some new things to adjust to living in our home. One is housebreaking. He has come such a long way since we have gotten him , but still needs a little help. Another thing is that he is terrified of a leash. When we take him out to go potty, he stays very close to us. He is a very timid little fellow and likes to be within sight of my 11 year old son. I would like to teach him to use a leash so that I can take him for walks outside of our yard but he shakes ,hunkers down, and refuses to move whenever I put a leash or harness on him.Is it possible to help him overcome his fear of leashes? If not, it isn't the end of the world, but it would be convenient. Thanks.
