...etc) to pick up children from school? If so, how? I'm curious because I have a family friend with 2 kids in elementary school, and they have a very sweet Border Collie who is devoted to the children and acts as their babysitter, sometimes. This family friend has joked a couple times that maybe the dog should take over the job of picking up the kids from school, since she has lots of things to do during the day and always has to rush. The school isn't that far from where they live, but it's far enough that it wouldn't be safe enough for 2 young children to walk home alone. However, with the dog with them (she is pretty good-sized for her breed) and presumably looking after them, it could be more convenient and safe. Anyways, it got me thinking..
