same race)? I was talking to a woman and getting on quite well with her, I wanted to say that she bears a strong resemblance to a celebrity who is the same race as her.

I guess the resemblance is in part to do with race (as well as personality and mannerisms)

The woman's race is a minority in my country
 
If the resemblance to the woman, compared to the celebrity is that strong and undeniable, there shouldn't be any problem.
But, you 'had' to add, the woman's race is a minority in your country. So who gives a sh*t, what the *ell does that matter?
