Is it risky to buy a unlocked Iphone 3gs, on craigslist?

I really want one, but I'm not willing to pay more than $400. What are the chances I will get scammed? What are some signs I can look out for to avoid loosing my hard earned money????
 
Its not risky to buy an unlocked iPhone 3gs. Unlocked iPhones are quite expensive . Better, you can buy a locked iPhone 3gs and get it unlocked from any of the online vendors like SuperUnlockCodes.com who provides Remote unlocking method to unlock it . After unlocking your iPhone 3gs, you can use it with any other GSM carriers internationally .
