Is it safe to get an allergy shot while you are sick?

I am receiving weekly pre-seasonal shots for allergies, but I am currently sick and was wondering if there was any risk to still getting the shot? I don't want to miss a week of the shot, in case it decreases the effectiveness of the treatment, but I dont want to get any sicker then I already am.
any help would be greatly appreciated
