is it safe to install limewire, ares.com and emule in your PC at the same time?

My computer got overheated when using ares.com and it did crash several times before I uninstall it and asked for a refund. When searching for music only 20% would download and from these 20% 5 to 10 percent are either recorded from radio or poor quality. However did not get the refund either. I ended up to infect my PC and to loose $40 to the worst croocks I ever dealt with :) .
