I want to restore my original (non SP) Game Boy Advance. I obtained the handheld as soon as it came out, and to my dismay, discovered it's lack of any kind of back light made it nearly impossible to use, except for sitting in direct light. Consequently, I didn't get much use out of the system.
So, is it possible to still order the Afterburner lighting kit that you solder into the GBA housing? Googling seems to only return Chinese companies that have been out of business since about '02. Do they even make them anymore? If so, where can I order one? If not, any internal light alternatives? I've tried my hand of external lights and haven't been satisfied.
I'm very close to just getting a Game Boy Micro, but for ~$80 I might as well go for a used DS. Plus, I hear the micro can't be used with the GameCube for games like Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. Also, I don't like the shape of the SP.
Thanks for any advice
