i heard it on the radio but i didn't remember them saying that he was a sausage smoker in my high school textbook. did he really do and get done by dudes? why don't gay people talk more about him if he was really a fellow butt pirate who once helmed the ship of state at ramming speed?

In fact a series of Love letters that were written by Lincoln to another man surfaced several years ago. A book was written about them.

There is some academic debate if it was love of a romantic nature or of a more fraternal one.

Further, given the restrictive nature of society and the general unavailability of women for sexual pairings prior to marriage, male male relationships were not uncommon although rarely if ever spoken about.

In fact the term "The love that dare not speak its name" was coined regarding these relationships.
