There is a saying in Judaism, that if one were only to know the effect that reading Psalms has, they would read it non stop for the entirety of their lives.

Psalms is pure holiness and connection to the source; pure beauty and faith and devotion and all those good things, according at least to Jewish tradition.

There is a saying in Judaism about everything.

There certainly are Jewish traditions to read Psalms on any occassion that you can't do something more directly productive.
