Is it worth complaining on BBB?

Have any of you guys ever filled a complaint on BBB.com? If so, how does it work; does it actually work; do they get in touch with you etc? I'm thinking of filling a complaint with a college that's been screwing me over for a year and a half, but I've never used BBB.com so I'm slightly nervous about it since they require name/address/phone number etc...
Please advise.
 
Absolutely! When you don't want to take it to court and you know you've got a solid case, by all means use the BBB.
We went to a bank for a home loan and -- to make a long story short -- got totally screwed with fees they weren't supposed to charge. When I confronted them it was, "Sorry about that!"
I filed with the BBB, they heard my case, and all those fees were returned to me. The mediator actually looked at the bank rep and said, "What are you guys trying to pull? Get your act together!"
Score one for the little guys! The system works when you're on the right side!

yes it is

that is one of the reasons why the BBB exists so if you have problems with a buisness or school in your case you can report it to them...
