My transmission is slipping, and leaking fluid. I am assuming I would need to have it rebuilt. It is worth it? I am guessing my ol' rust bucket isn't even worth $1000.... Please help!
Interesting question, I have the same problem only with a 1988 cougar. Anyway, the equation is easy, if you can afford a new or late model used car then go that route. If however money is as tight for you as it is for myself, and if the engine is basically sound then drop the money into it.
