Is it worth it to be a Nurse?

I want to be a Registered Nurse. I have always wanted to be a Nurse since I can remember. I hear about all the good benefits and pay and it makes me want to even more. But I dont really know the downside. Or the bad things. I am trying to start school as soon as I can but since it is so close I am kind of panicking. Can somebody, preferably a Nurse, give me any details, advice, anything? Thanks
