Is it wrong to visit an out of town platonic friend for a vacation when in a new

relationship? I'm in a new relationship (a little under a month) but had made these plans to visit a male friend out of town before the new bf and I started going out. The friendship is strictly platonic, but I don't know how to bring it up to my new bf and make him feel at ease. I don't want to ruin what might become of the relationship, but I also don't want to flake out on my friend. any advice or thoughts on the matter?
 
Go to see your friend but call your boyfriend to let him know that you are going to visit your platonic friend. Tell him that it's a friend you've had for a while and there have never been romantic feelings between the two of you in the past and neither of you see a possibility of feelings in the future. When you tell your bf don't make it the first thing you bring up to him, but mention it among other things...casually. If you don't bring the topic up to him in a guilty way he won't assume the wrong thing. visit your friend and if your bf can be cool about it call him once a day until you see him again.
