Is Las Vegas 'romantic' for an anniversary vacation?

I have never been there but I always think of Vegas as all glitz and no substance, which is not really romantic to me. I guess I think it's a party town, more for young people raising hell. However, everyone who's been there says it'd be a great place to go for our anniversary trip. What's your opinion?
 
you will have fun, and you will be with each other doing it. But you are right, it is a party town, but with tons and tons and TONs of things to do.

Did I mention there's tons of things to do?
