Is laughing a sign of guilt? I confronted my boyfriend and he giggled some..?

I was talking to my boyfriend about a serious matter and it was like he giggled some during it. Even after I finished fussing, he said something about the game that was on. He answered my questions but at the same time it was like he was being light hearted during the argument. I ended up telling him I had nothing else to say. We hung up. Then the next day , by the time I woke up he had already left a voice message explaining everything. The matter we were talking about was something that we could have broken up over
