are these things flirting even if u have a pure heart and ur intention is not to attract guys

smiling at them..just being polite
laughing at a joke cuz it was funny

wot other things would be considered flirting and how can this be avoided?

also wot about sitting next to them if u r doing group work? should u avoid that so u r not too close?

thanks for the all the answers guys..but i was asking in an Islamic context....those of u who r saying it is still wrong..i did say that my intention is never wrong..and i dont ever want anyone to start liking me so its all innocent from my side
 
As-Salamu Alakyum ?

Dear sister I quote to you the following verse from the Holy Quran.
((And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.)) Surah an-NOOR : verse 31.

I dont think smiling is..like from a far if he smiles at you smile back..but laughing at there jokes..idk you shouldnt even be talking to them

I think the best way is to avoid boys period! like if a man asks me a question ..i make my brother answer


Dont sit next a boy..you can easily just move..when i was in school and the teacher use to assign seat i had to sit next to a boy..but than i talked to the teacher and told her i cant..and she moved me :]

No that is not flirting. Flirting is more touching, asking for attention, sitting on their laps, doing things on purpose.

You are not a flirt - you are just a nice girl!

That does not consider flirting... Your right that's just being nice.Tell that person that your not trying to flirt, that your being nice thats all..
