Is legal for a lanlldlord to NOT ring your bell upon entry?

My landlord on several occasions (sometimes with his wife) has just walked into my apartment while I was there without knocking or ringing the bell. He just did it again and I am so angry. I am having my husband go and deal with this cause I am so angry I can't even sit still. Is he allowed to just let himself in? Several times I see him in my apt and know he hasn't rang my bell. I am moving soon. What can I do in the meanwhile?
 
NOPE. And without 24 hours' notice you don't even have to let them in.
