The way he's pitching this season, i think he can probably pitch a couple more seasons even though they wouldn't be great seasons. He needs 36 more wins to get to 300 which if he gets a few more this season he can possibly get to 300 in 2 years but more likely 3. He can also get to 3,000 strikeouts. He already has 2,750. I think he's a borderline player. Do you think he will be in the hall of fame?
he never won a world series. he came to the yankees in 2001.

I think he is right on the bubble at this point. His won well over 100 more games than he's lost. His won more games than Bob Gibson. He needs less than 250 K's to reach 3000 K's. And as you've said, he needs only 36 more wins to reach 300. Two more reasonably productive seasons should do it.

I think he HAS to get to the 300 win mark. He has some great stats, he has a great win loss record but 300 wins will put him to a point where they can not ignore him. He has no rings and no real awards to boast of, if he had a Cy Young award once or had a couple of rings then he would be an automatic lock already. No pitcher with a win-loss record of 100+ win differnece has not made the hall so that bodes well for him.
