Simple enough question.

Kai is a slightly muscular young swordsman with long blond hair in a ponytail and a battle scar across his torso.

He used to be a loner, who always wanted friends and acceptance. At first, Kai pretends to be an ally to lead the protagonist to a villain, so Kai can be given power in return (to restore his home and avenge a friend). His time with the group caused him to grow close to them and not fully go through with it. Unfortunately, he still suffered some trust issues from this for a while.

Because of losing those dear to him in the past and not being strong enough to do anything about it, Kai has grown protective and often takes responsibility for things. He is fiercely loyal, sometimes acting as a coach, and is badly prone to using serious methods to solve simple problems. While he treats others with kindness, he puts his duty above his feelings and is ruthless during battle. he also has another form, which is powerful, but makes him evil.

Kai enjoys a fight and would expect to get hurt, but ironically can't take being treated for his injuries (like getting alcohol, stitches, shots) and tries to avoid this. When he does receive medical attention, he acts like a baby, which looks embarrassing. Kai has lost battles and has been humiliated in one-sided fights before. He has a strong, respectful bond with the protagonist and they can be considered best friends.
