Is Peak Expiratory Flow Rates affected by smoking?

I know that height will affect your PEF rate, as does whether you're asthmatic or not.. but does smoking? I assume that it does. Could someone please link me to an article or something about the topic? I need it for my biology project and I'm having trouble finding sources.

In long run smoking affects your PEF and finally kills you.
