I'm determined to get a straight out answer!
So I'm a runner. I'm a senior in high school and have been running cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track since I was a freshman. To say the least, I run a lot.
Some people on facebook, who aren't runners and are not in shape, ran for example 6 miles and said they ran it in 45 minutes and burned 1000 calories.
I sometimes track my runs and even my 7 or 8 mile runs don't burn off 1000 calories which confuses me.
So do you run more miles on a treadmill than outdoors? I hear often that it is easier to run on a treamill but I was never given a straight answer whether or not you run more on a treadmill in a shorter amount of time making it not entirely accurate.
thank you!
