I realize that this kind of thing is almost impossible to determine by "signs" but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway. I'm a college junior and I've known this girl for about two years but I've only really started talking to her since this summer. We've hung out a few times and on occasion she'll contact me first although lately I've done all the contacting. Ever since the last time we hung out I've kind of started to feel something more for her.
She's a cheerleader for our school's sports teams and I often have to work radio for the games, so one night I texted her to tell her good luck and to have fun at the game, and while I couldn't go I said I'd make sure to go at some point. "You better
" she responded. She's told me a couple of times that she think I'm awesome, but it's been kind of hard to hang out with her lately. I asked about one Sunday and she said she'd see how her homework looked. She never told me either way whether she was free to hang out or not, though I did talk to her on that Sunday night and she said she was sorry for being so busy that weekend. I was disappointed she didn't say anything but I knew there were no guarantees to begin with so it wasn't like she cancelled on me at the last moment. I also asked her on a whim today (a Saturday) if she wanted to hang out and she said she'd already made plans with others but was really sorry. She always answers my texts and Facebook chats and all, but our conversations never seen to amount to a whole lot, and I've talked about doing something with her over winter break and she said she would like to depending on her plans with family (could take a vacation) or work.
Not sure if she's not interested, playing hard to get, or if I should just be patient.
