My wife has a drinking problem and is a smoker. She lost her job a couple of months ago because of it.
We are drowning in bills and unable to pay anything. We are two months late on Mortgage and Property Taxes.
She is working part time and only bring home around $400 a month.
She repeatedly turns to her sister to help us pay the bills, yet she is able to find the money to continue drinking and smoking.
I know I am a codependent, by staying with her.
I have asked her sister to stop paying the bills and buying groceries, because my wife needs to take responsibility for her actions.
My sister-in-law feels she is not a co-dependent, and that I am putting her in the middle of our responsibilities.
