Is smokeless tobacco any worse than cigarettes?

Right now i smoke and I'm smoking way to much and plan to eventually quit. I'm not looking at it as an alternative, but i do feel like once i get the cigarette smoking done, but still have some nicotine, then quitting would be a little bit easier. Any thoughts or suggestions?
 
I really don't see the difference it's still going to give you cancer. Try a patch.
