I have my doubt because I think that all the power that has been given to him is based on his popularity with the majority people and not because of what he really is. Superman can save people and beat bad guys like Lex Luthor but he can't fight epic battles like the Hulk and Thor do. When he fought General Zod and company on Superman II movie, he gave up because he was loosing the battle at Metropolis. I'm sure that either Hulk or Thor would have fought for death. Superman presumes for having super intelligence and, from the last Superman movie, he felt into one of Lex Luthor's tricks when he was beaten up to death at the island not noticing the presence of kryptonite.
The Hulk is much more powerful than Superman. He gets stronger as he gets angrier. The Hulk is much bigger and stronger than Superman. The Hulk has battled much more powerful enemies that Superman has. Example is when Superman fought Doomsday, he almost died but again because of Superman's popularity, he couldn't die, right? Now, Hulk vs Doomsday would be an epic fight.
Thor is a true warrior with godly-like power and fought enemies with same similar power. I don't think superman would be a match for Thor.
My point is that Superman needs to be deflated from what he pretends to be and show his real power which is not unlimited like everybody else thinks
