Is the AT&T Samsung Captivate's apps locked to Android Market?

Or can I get a third party app on it? I'm going to be upgrading soon, and I'm really curious how that works, because i'm upgrading from a basic plan. Thanks
 
There should be a setting in Settings->Applications that allows you to download apps from "unknown" sources (other than the Market). Once you set that, you can add anything from anyplace. Use caution.
