is the Blu-Ray region free on the ps3?

Hey, i have a european ps3 and i want to buy some US rehion blu-ray movies but i dont know if it'll work so please tell me is the blu-ray region free on the ps3 or not?
 
Blu-ray movies are region coded
So your ps3 from say America can't play Chinese blu-ray movies
Only the PS3 games are region coded free
So you can get a ps3 from Australia and play American, Chinese, asia games etc but sadly not the movies and so on
