well realistically, Catholicism is much older than just the thought of "women's rights". It hasn't changed since it started, and goes by tradition. If a large group of people in a religion want to change the views of the religion, they just make a new one. Examples of the leaders of these groups are Jesus, Mohammed Martin Luther King, etc.
