Basically, is it true that the hotter peppers get, the more nutrients you get out of them?

I think I read something about this in PopSci, but I can't find that issue. So, does anyone else know?

No, there is no additional nutrients. The spiciness is dependent on the amount of a substance called capsaisin.

I believe what you may have heard or seen is that peppers are a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B, and carotene. Most peppers have more Vitamin C than oranges.
