Is there a economical hypo allergenic dogfood available for a large dog?

Lick Lick Lick his feet, Each large bag cost upward to 100.00 dolars plus his meds. He's a wonderful rescue dog and we love but can't afford him!
Any suggestions.The dr will give us a prescription.
Which over the counter foods would be least harmful.
What is cost of food allergy testing?
