I live in Stellenbosch,a wine region just outside Cape Town,South Africa.I am currently working in the wine industry.I am interested in farming with snails in the region...

Is it at all possible?Is there a market abroad?How do I get started?Are the species in my region suiteble for eating?Is it possible to 'harvest' them from the vineyards and grow them in pens untill they are ready fot use?

Please let me know what you think?I would appreciate any help in this matter...
 
Snails , really are not suitable for farming, as they are too small to pull a plow and the harness keeps slipping off their round shells. Could you please pass the garlic butter?
