When you put numbers on somethings, you shackle yourself to having to define what infinity is. For instant, how many atoms are there in the universe when the ink used to print 'universe' on a peace of paper contains millions of atoms! Therefor there is a finite number of atoms in the universe, but the number would be meaningless to us because it would be to the power of 10 followed by a number that would stretch across the universe itself. Therefore you would run out of names to give them long before you even get started. You can count something like cows in a pasture or fence posts, but somethings are best left alone or at least counted as the sum of it's total make up.
